There are many animals throughout the Love Hina series other than turtles. All have creative personalites (except perhaps Leon). Below are the main animals besides Tama Chan. |

Like I said before, the picture to the left is a picture of Tama Chan and Kuro the Cat. Kuro is Kanako Urashima's Cat (Kanako is Keitaro's "sister", more info on her is available here). Kuro is also capable of flying, but the weirdest thing about Kuro is her ability to talk. The series explains this as being ventriloquism, but the characters have the idea that Kuro really does talk. |

Shippu is Tsuruko's bird (Tsuruko is Motoko's Sister). Shippu doesn't really do much...but is really cool looking at least. After Motoko defeats her sister, she is entrusted with Shippu as well as the God's Cry School. |

Leon is Ema Maeda's pet chameleon (Ema Maeda is a new resident to the Hinata Apartments at the end of Volume 14). Leon just sits on Ema and looks into space. Kind of a boring animal if I do say so myself. |
